Oh if only there was a time machine in my washing up bowl!

There's not a minute to spare in my day at the mo (so why am I blogging? because no bloggs= brain fog!) I have been building shelves and unpacking and repacking the boxes, junking it, recycling it and charity shopping it till my mind goes blank. Then when I finished that I started making a few lampshades (christmas rush!) so that added even more boxes (dear customer please forgive me if I post my junk and keep my lampshades as there really is so many boxes everywhere) I am refurbing my sewing/dining room on a budget mostly because my husband was making hints about getting a skip for all my stuff! But still in my head I am wishing that I either had some pennies or a time machine so that I could do this job really beautifully for example my floor will have to stay a dull lino grey until I can find time and money for a week of moving everything out again to make space to put something lovely down............ if I had all the time in the world this is how my floor would look............

But as it is the colour and pattern will have to wait until the new year when Hubbie goes snow boarding and I have bundles of evenings to paint in I hope to have made enough progress by monday to give you a sneaky peak!

Don't forget my giveaway is still open for a few more days...........

2 years gone by................& .Give away

I have just discovered that yesterday was exactly 2 years since I started blogging........... which was such a coincidence as I was just looking to see when my hundredth post was-which will probably be in 2012 If I don't get moving!
I wanted to say a huuuuuuuge thank you very much to all the inspiration I have recieved over the last 2 years, I haven't always been a big commenter on many blogs but I have added up that there are at least 160 blogs that I read from each day. They fill me with so many ideas, Beautiful things to crochet (which I would never have started without coverting Attic 24"s lovely blankets and Dottie Angels funky style)..........

Tasty things to cook, Lovely photos to uplift (Lobster and Swan)below

Fantastic things to craft or buy (Sea Angels, A small bite of Mondo Cherry,) fresh and funky ideas about the world that's going on in amazing places I will never see (planes are sooooooooo unnatural!) Ideas for my house and what not to wear. I have enjoyed every baby photo, envied every holiday, cried a few times over your triumphs and disasters and received much support when things went so badly wrong last year with the fire.
I open your posts like supprise parcels and and am so disappointed when I run out of things to read, and I am beginning to bore non-bloggers with things I have seen and heard so here's to you girls (and maybe guys too) and as a little sign of my appreciation I have a treat for you. I will send an E-voucher to one winner for my free bespoke lampshade service. You send me the fabric and trimming and I send (open to anywhere in the world) a drum lampshade 8", 10"or 12" in the depth of your choice. Just leave me a little word or two about what in inspires you in your favourite blog, and hopefully I'll end up with plenty more new things to read!

I'm dream shopping again.....................
Baby JoJo will be 3 in Feb and thanks to his escapologist tendencies his bedroom is just a low bed and a lot of wall stickers. The last time we tried putting a chest of drawers in there he climbed them like a staircase and spread the clothes like confetti!
Its not that he's a naughty child (this sounds like something a mum would say, doesnt it?)
like one of my other boys he's very physical, the kind of child who loves to squeeze, push and chew on things or given the chance, dismantle them completely with a screw driver.
So I dream of turning his empty cell-like bedroom into a fun palace, here's what I would adore for his little box room........

(sorry not sure where this one came from)
ohdeeoh

Unfortunately all these dream beds involve too much height for a sleepy toddler so unless I turn the room into a padded cell (which maybe necessary soon!) his little bed will have to resemble a raft floating on a sea of toy cars for a while longer!

working or playing............?

I'm meant to be working............and I guess I am but I have handpicked my favourite job on the list. I can justify it-baby's in bed, kids are at the park, lessons are done and washing's on the line- and I'm waiting for a delivery before being able to finish with some other paying jobs (though there is the ironing to do says a mean voice of reason at the back of my head!) I had a little spend up at Cath Kidston.com and I also needed to make a size sample for a customer but I think I may have to keep the end result to cheer up my messy sewing room! How about you what would you do if you could play hooky today? Do you ever pretend to be working? Please let me not be the only one!
