Confessions...

In case you were imagining that have been slaving over my eyelet press and sewing machine I must confess that all the new ideas that I have been posting lately are ideas that have been started and shelved for a while. After all as a mother of 4, and a home teacher (not to mention Doc Martin being on again!) sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day to experiment with new Sewing ideas when I need to keep on top of all the other jobs, but I am proud to announce (now the rail has finally arrived!!!!) my new shutter curtain. I planned this as a more masculine alternative to curtains also for windows that don't have much space at the sides for curtains, the fabric is stiffened and sewn into folds so that it pleats, I thought it might also look nice with a fabric covered spring batten, or if full length maybe from a curtain pole fixed to the top of the window inside the recess- but here I had a wardrobe rail made to size.
